Dacite Spalls
 Dacite is opaque to very slightly translucent. It's medium gray to black in color and is slightly grainier than glassy obsidian. It looks and works more like stone than obsidian. This is what we recommend is best for beginning knappers. The stone is very clean with little to no flaws. This is a great choice for the beginner to expert knapper. These spalls range from 4-6 inches long. This material is the best price/lb bargain.
